Okay, back in August, I decided to make a committment to write in my blog everyday for 365 days and I entitled that activity “Balancing Act”.  Well, clearly, I haven’t balanced very well as after 16 days, I stopped.  Just stopped.  Dead in my tracks.

That’s just not like me.  So,  just as I encourage my clients to do in my coaching practice, I am going to start again.  Stopping doesn’t mean stopping forever.  One can start over again.  The main goal is to keep moving forward.  So many of  us “beat ourselves up” over what we fear is failure.  I don’t believe in failure.  In everything we do there is a lesson.  Sometimes we just get detoured!

That being said, effective today, October 18, 2009, I will again challenge  myself to write in my blog everyday, for 365 days.  I love the following quote:

“The principle is competing against yourself. It’s about self improvement, about being better than you were the day before.”~ Steve Young

I was at a lecture for an author the other day.  The author said he set aside about an hour each day to write.  Typically, it was in the evening after returning home from work.  At the end of a year, low and behold, he had his book written!  Doesn’t that sound fabulous??   Break it into consistent little bites and get it done!

My focus in my blog will be life balance – “Is it a juggling act or simply identifying priorities?”

Blessings,

Janice
